Technology Director Nominee :
Amber Stocks - D2R3 - Walled Lake Western
I am Amber Stocks, and I am more than your typical cheer coach. I coach what I like to call full time, and I work full time as a graphic designer, web designer, internet marketer, ecommerce manager, and overall web guru. I’m a little over the-top. My exuberance is fueled by my passion for cheerleading and the advancement of helping us achieve the ultimate goal. I might quite possibly be the denition of over-achiever. I love this sport... maybe a little too much. It is rumored that I am a gypsy, which is possible. Considering my love and desire to help anyone and everyone, everywhere, it may be a realistic title. I have coached in 4 school districts over my 19 years in this particular sport and I’m sure I’ll master a few more before I hang up my hat. I’ve been apart of existing programs, as well as creating new ones from the ground up. I am a veteran in the MHSAA format and I’ve dedicated my life to working to better myself as a coach and as a mentor. Today I coach great athletes, I help multitudes of coaches in many different facets from explaining paperwork, helping with choreography, helping establish rules and helping people better their programs. I’m always willing to share ideas and resources. I believe I am knowledgeable and even though I don’t always have the answers, I can help people get them. I am OCD to the T and everything is done in completion when I set my mind to complete something. My future dreams entail helping make competitive cheer more exciting than it is. My dreams are to help as many people become as involved in this sport as I have become. I want to run for a position because I envision a climate of cooperation in which Judges and Coaches can lead the growth of the entire cheer movement as we develop and set goals. After spending seventeen years as a cheer coach, I am now pursuing my lifelong dream of making a change, and being a voice that demands to be heard. I promote the philosophy to “be the change you wish to see in the world”…we are all in this Together and I am determined to help make change. I believe that I can assist the CCCAM board in the fullest capacity to reach it’s full potential. It's imperative that we have a workable blueprint that promotes rationalism and logic in dealing with problems we face today and I believe I can assist with that. I hope you will consider voting for me.
